1:00 – 3:00 PM – Bridging the Gap Between NFPA 25 & 72 Led by James D. Lake, Vice President of Training & Technical Services for the Viking Corporation and Jason Webb, Product Manager for Potter Electric Signal Company.

  • Overview: When properly interconnected fire alarm systems and fire sprinkler systems play a critical role in the protection of life and property. Ensuring that this interconnection continues to function is the goal of the inspection and testing process. However multiple administrative laws, codes and standards govern the roles of technicians and the inspection and testing processes for each of the system. Coordinating these roles and the inspection and testing process is not just a good idea, it is a requirement…but that doesn’t make it easy.

This presentation developed in a partnership between Viking and Potter will provide an overview of the requirements and walk participants through a process to develop a coordinated approach to inspection and testing of fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems that will result in each system continuing to be capable of meeting its intended objective in the overall fire protection plan for a building.
